The best starting point is the original vector logo, plus any brand standards and exact wording. A screenshot can explain the idea, but it rarely contains enough information for clean production.

Best files to send

AI, EPS, SVG, and vector PDF files usually preserve editable shapes and clean edges. Package linked images and fonts when the artwork depends on them.

  • Original vector logo
  • Brand color values
  • Exact approved wording
  • A PDF proof showing intended appearance

What a screenshot is good for

Screenshots, phone photos, and web images are useful references. They help us understand placement and intent, but they are not automatically production artwork.

Do not rebuild the logo unless necessary

If the original file exists, use it. Recreating a mark from a small image adds cost, introduces differences, and can compromise brand accuracy.

The right material and production method depend on the surface, location, size, expected life, and installation conditions.
